Echinogammarus baliki sp. nov., a new species of gammarid amphipod, is described and illustrated based on samples collected from Lake Akgöl, near Selçuk, ?Izmir province, Turkey. A detailed morphological description and illustrations of the new species are given. Differences between the new species and related species are discussed.
