Additional information Automated translation or original Chinese text:Cirrhitiara simplex n.sp. (Fig. 5)
The umbrella is nearly hemispherical, with a blunt roof at the top, 0.6 mm high and 1 mm wide. The vertical tube is in the shape of a thin bottle, the mouth has 4 simple lips, and the septum is very short. The gonads are in the interradial position of the vertical duct, smooth and wrinkle-free. 4 narrow spokes with smooth edges. There are 8 tentacles on the umbrella rim, located in the main spoke and interspoke positions, the base of the tentacles is expanded and nearly spherical, no side flattening, there is 1 small vestigial tentacle ball between every 2 tentacles, there are no tentacles, there is 1 lateral filament on one side of the base of all tentacle balls, and the dorsal axis of the base has eyespots. The marginal membrane is wide. There is only one known species of Cirrhitiara superba (Mayer, 1900), which has a well-developed apical process, 4 large tentacles, 12 small vestigial tentacles, no lateral filaments on one side of the base of the large tentacles, 1 lateral filament on the base side of the vestigial tentacle ball, and gonadal folds, which are obviously different from the characteristics of this new species with 8 tentacles, 8 vestigial tentacle balls, and a lateral filament on the base of all tentacles and smooth gonads. Holotype specimen AOB-HL071 was collected at 0140m water layer at 304 station south of Taiwan Strait on April 27, 1988, and 1 specimen
