Diagnosis Test circular to ovate or pyriform in outline, compressed, planoconvex in end view, enrolled, earliest whorl with three chambers, later chambers one-half coil in length, each later chamber completely enveloping the earlier ones to which one wall adheres; wall calcareous, hyaline, perforate, radial in structure, surface smooth except for peripheral keel that may be somewhat fimbriate; aperture a terminal slit, bordered by a lip, with thick entosolenian tube, apertures of successive chambers at opposite ends of the test.
