Biology Type of larval development: direct (non-planktotrophic) inferred from paucispiral protoconch. [details] Diagnosis Shell fusiform, up to 15 mm, with a moderately high spire of shouldered whorls. Protoconch small, of little more than one whorl. Teleoconch with a sculpture of axial lamellae and spiral cords ((4-5 on penultimate whorl) forming a coarse lattice. Outer lip simple, not thickemed but with the termination of cords reflected inside as folds. Siphonal canal long and delicate, often curved, widely open. Colour white.
