Nomenclature no type material was designated of Hydroides trihamulatus, so the name is unavailable. Murray, Hutchings, Pillai 2010 published a note to say that, and noted it was already described as H. malleolaspinus Straughan anyway. [details]
Type locality No holotype, but only collection site (AM W21412 and AM W202944) was a sand cay on Port George IV Inlet, Kimberley, Western Australia, 15°20'S 124°39'E" (-15.3333° 124.65°) [details]
