Habitat Offshore oil field at shelf depths, with sediment being a muddy (30% silt) coarse sand (41% sand) containing a large amount or organic carbon (2.4%), barium (5219 ppm) and hydrocarbons (4680 ppm). These three pollutants result from the oil-field drilling. [details]
Type locality N'Kossa off-shore oil field, near (120 m) oil platform NKF2, off Republic of the Congo (= Congo-Brazzaville), Central Western Africa, Atlantic Ocean (05°16.390'S, 11°33.848'E; -5.2732°, 11.5642°), 150 m, heterogenous sediment [longitude in original publication as ''W'' instead of "E", and latitude "N" instead of "S"].
