From editor or global species database
Editor's comment Usages as Eumida macroceros (Malmgren) are incorrect. Apparently listed in Hayward & Ryland (1990) as Eumida macroceros (Malmgren), as data-entered originally, but Malmgren is not the author, rather it is Grube, and there are few if any combinations in Eumida used outside of Hayward & Ryland. Bergstrom (1914: 136) has a long synonymy as Sige macroceros for Grube's species. There is no combination in Eumida recorded. A BHL name recognition error also has supposed Eumida macroceros (Malmgren) usages, but when examined these were all for subsequent combinations from Grube's original name of Phyllodoce (Eulalia) macroceros Grube, 1860. For example the author name in Carus (1885:242) in ocr at BHL, for a usage as Eulalia (Pterocirrus) macroceros Gr, is as Eumida macroceros (Malmgren), where both species author and binominal are incorrect compared to the actual text.
