Etymology Scler- or Sclero-, new Latin from Greek skler- or sklero-, meaning 'hard', and Bregma, new Latin bregmat-, bregma, from late Latin, from Greek brechmos, meaning 'front part of the head', making reference to the presence of acicular spines in the anterior region of the worm. [details]
