Nine species of Sphaerosyllis and Parapionosyllis (Syllidae: Exogoninae), principally from Cuba but also from the Gulf of Mexico coast of Florida, are reported. Two new species are described: Parapionosyllis uebelackerae and Parapionosyllis floridana. The species Sphaerosyllis magnidentata Perkins, 1981; S. glandulata Perkins, 1981; S. piriferopsis Perkins, 1981; S. bilobata Perkins, 1981; S. brevidentata Perkins, 1981 and S. riseri Perkins, 1981 are new to the Cuban fauna. One species of Sphaerosyllis has been identified to generic level only.
