Etymology The specific epithet tridentata (masculine: tridentatus) is a Latin adjective meaning 'tridentate' or 'having three teeth', and refers presumably to the tridentate hooded hooks of the species, present in neuropodia from chaetiger 19 and in notopodia from chaetiger 28. [details]
