Etymology McIntosh (1909: 178) Kinbergella named "after the distinguished Professor in Stockholm, who has done so much to advance our knowledge of the marine annelids". Footnote "Since this was written Prof. Kinberg has passed away, full of years and honours. His name will long and honourably be associated with the group." [details]
Synonymy As the only species was moved to Prionospio Malmgren, 1867 (and renamed for homonymy), therefore Kinbergella is a junior synonym of Prionospio [details]
