Note		Lichomolgus elegans was poorly described by Thompson & Scott (1903: 280) and nobody is sure what genus it should be attributed to. Although Monod & Dollfus (1932: 139) moved it to Macrochiron, Stock (1957: 381) suspected it was a Stellicola. However, when Humes & Stock (1973) reviewed the lichomolgoid copepods, this species was not included or mentioned under the genus Stellicola. Therefore, Lichomolgus elegans Thompson & Scott, 1903 is a doubtful species nobody is sure which genus it belongs. (pers. comm. from J.S. Ho) [details]
