Synonymy Beu (2005:120) lists the name Tonna olearium (Linnaeus, 1758) in the synonymy of Tonna galea (Linnaeus, 1758), as a result of the synonymy of the basionym Buccinum olearium Linnaeus, 1758 with Buccinum galea Linnaeus, 1758, which he introduced in that publication. This vision was substantiated by Vos (2007). [details]
