This paper indicates the synonymy of P. gracilipes with P. gaudichaudii, however it has since been recognised that T. gaudichaudii is a Southern Hemisphere/Antarctic species. The type locality for T. gracilipes is “Moray Firth” and it is regarded a synonym of T. compressa Goës, 1866 by Scheppenheim & Weigmann-Haass (1986).
