Etymology The species is dedicated to Professor Wu Baoling (Qingdao), who sucessfully arranged the joint meiofauna project between the First Institute of Oceanography in Qingdao (China), and the Biology Department of the University of Osnabrück (Germany), during which the type material of the species was collected, who accompanied the expedition to Hainan Island, and who inspired the first author of the species to take up polychaete taxonomy.
