Holotype MNHN A2 Did.C 410, geounit Zanzibar [details]
From editor or global species database
Genetic nomenclature abbreviation Dicont [details]Remark This species looks like Didemnum spengioides Sluiter, 1909, or Didemnum roberti Michaelsen, 1930, or Didemnum diffundum F. Monniot,1994, except for its colour. The common cloacal openings have the same location on top of the colony's lobes, and the internal layer of the thickened parts has the same structure with a central core of tunic crossed by branched solid strands. But in this species the zooids have a cloacal languet. [details]
