Authority Vaillant (1890) has been regarded as author of Histriobdellidae (for example in Rouse & Pleijel 2001: 162), but in Claus & Moquin-Tandon (1884) Histriobdellidae is named & diagnosed on p 565 using Histriobdella genus.
