Diagnosis Test discoidal, compressed, up to 10 mm in diameter; central cavity reflected externally by a swollen area and leads into fine radiating tubules that may bifurcate near the periphery; wall of light colored quartz sand and sponge spicules, agglutinated in little cement; aperture at the open ends of the radial tubules.
