Editor's comment The lorica of the organism illustrated by Brandt does not resemble the structure of any other species of Climacocylis but rather a species of Leprotintinnus, Tintinnopsis or Rhizodomus. No justification was given by Kofoid & Campbell (1929, pg. 94) for transfering the species to the genus Climacocylis. [details]
