| Note | |
Classification: Wägele & Willan (2000) concluded that the Arminoida as classically understood (containing Arminidae, Goniaeolididae, Heterodorididae, Charcotiidae, Dironidae, Proctonotidae, Madrellidae, and Pinufiidae) are paraphyletic. The name Euarminida is used herein for the basal clade comprising Armina and Dermatobranchus in Wägele & Willan’s analysis, following in this Bouchet & Rocroi (2005).
Nevertheless Pola & Gosliner (2010) call for using the name Arminida.
