Buccalsegment borstenlos. Segmente bis auf vordere dreiringlig. Keine Kiemen. Parapodien in wenigen vorderen und hinteren Segmenten höckerförmig, in der Körpermitte mit langen, fingerförmigen, postsetalen Lamellen. Lateralorgane? Einfache kapillare und gabelförmige Borsten vorhanden. Keine großen, aciculaförmigen Borsten. Analcirren papillenförmig.'' [details]

Checked: verified by a taxonomic editorEtymology Scalibregmides is formed by the name of the genus Scalibregma Rathke, 1843, followed by the Greek suffix -ides, a suffix of source or origin, and presumably makes reference to the morphological similarities between the two taxa. [details]
