Diagnosis Corallum colonial, attached, massive. Corallites plocoid, circular or irregular in outline, forming monocentric to polycentric series, wall septothecal. Septa perforated along the inner margin, otherwise mostly compact, joined by two to three rows of synapticulae, fusing towards the fossa. Septa ornamentation composed of paddle-shaped granules. Columella developed, formed by multiple processes perpendicular to the septal plane. Costae continuous between adjacent calices, unequal to sub-equal. [details]From other sources
