Status Rhynchoscaphia is named as a new genus in the narrative, but the McIntosh monograph assigned the sole specimen from station 151 to Phyllocomus crocea Grube. According to Low & Evenhuis, 2013: , the two issues of the first volume of the Tizard narrative were published before April 1885. Whereas McIntosh Annelida was published before 5 November 1885, about seven months later.
