Distribution The original Celtic Sea report for this species (Renaud-Mornant 1989) was the northernmost locality of
the genus Florarctus, which is usually restricted to warmer water in tropical or southern parts of temperate
zones. Since the original report, the species has been reported mainly in the Mediterranean region from
different types of sand or detritus. This interstitial, intertidal or subtidal species (to ca. 40 m bsl), has also been
reported from marine caves. [details]
