Seven species of polychaete annelids are newly reported and described from North Carolina, including one new species and three new records of the errant families Syllidae and Nereididae (= Nereidae) and three new records of the sedentary families Spionidae, Cossuridae, and Amphictenidae (= Pectinariidae). Also included are a key to species of Cistena (= Pectinaria) from North Carolina, a key to North Carolina nereidid genera lacking paragnaths on the proboscis, and a key to the genera of Cossuridae, with a diagnosis of the family, which is newly reported from North Carolina.
