Two species of Lamippidae parasitic in Alcyonium digitatum (Octocorallia) are recorded from Wales and the French Channel coast: Enalcyonium forbesi and E. rubicundum. Both are redescribed. Animals recorded as ‘E. rubicundum’ from Banyuls (Mediterranean) proved to belong to an undescribed species, E. confusum n.sp. The family Lamippidae is divided into two subfamilies: Lamippinae and Linaresiinae.
