Status Lavesque et al (2017) comment that "Marphysa saxicola Langerhans, 1881 was recently transferred to the genus Nicidion" [by Arias and Núñez (2016] However, this taxonomic act (as at November 2017) was yet to be published (information from an unpublished conference abstract). Subsequently different authors, Molina-Acevdo et al 2021, have made the recombination in Nicidion. [details]
