Classification The classification of Manawa sensu lato (e.g,, Manawa, Puncia, Promanawa, Triassopuncia, Triassomanawa...) has been changing since their discovery by Hornibrook (1949).The classification adopted herein of the Punciidae and Triassopunciidae within a superfamily Puncioidea as an order (Punciocopida) within Podocopa was proposed by Danielopol & Swanson (2019).
