Description Schwagerinoidea elongate fusiform to subcylindrical, with strongly folded septa, an absence of central aperture with tunnel, common septal pores, rugose wall, axial filling diversely developed, chomata limited to the proloculus and/or first whorls, rare phrenothecae, no cuniculi.
Occurrence: Late Pennsylvanian–late Middle Permian; rare genera are cosmopolitan, other ones are limited either to the Paleotethys and dependances, or to the Americas.
