Diagnosis Test large, about 1.25 mm in greatest breadth, chambers forming a low trochospiral coil, five chambers in the first whorl, later increasing in breadth and number as the whorl expands rapidly, spiral side convex, umbilical side flattened; wall agglutinated, canaliculate, may have incipient pillars projecting slightly from the septa; aperture valvuline in the early stage, later cribrate, consisting of large irregular openings scattered over a convex plate covering the umbilicus and final chamber face.
