Diagnosis Test trochospiral, with strongly convex spiral side and flat, concave, or convex and deeply umbilicate opposite side, umbilical depression with radial extensions along the sutures to a fimbriate termination about half the distance to the periphery, sutures curved backward at the periphery on the spiral side, radial on the umbilical side; wall calcareous, finely granular, perforate; aperture double, interiomarginal, primary opening about midway between the umbilicus and periphery, a chamber flap or tenon separating it from the second and umbilically placed opening.
