Original description Test free, calcareous, planoconvex to slightly biconvex, a low trochoid form with a narrowly rounded, lobulate periphery; wall highly polished, finely perforate, smooth; prolocular chamber and first whorl of small chambers completely embedded in translucent shell taking on form of small round opaque circles; two other whorls smooth, perforated uniformly for second whorl then prominently perforated only on outer half of last formed whorl of six chambers; sutures distinct, slightly depressed marginally, curved and otherwise flush, narrow, opaque lines or heavy, hyaline structures centrally; ventrally six peripheral chambers increasing in size gradually and symmetrically, uniformly perforated, hyaline marginally; last formed chamber showing shallow umbilical flap indented basally on each side, posterior one more prominent, other chambers with similar structures more prominent, one marking a reentrant; central area closed by a well developed, flat, hyaline umbilical plug of shell; primary aperture along base of last formed chamber.
