Taxonomy Renamed Dadaytrema by Travassos,(1931) on the basis that the name had previously been used for protozoa and crustaceans. I...
Taxonomy Renamed Dadaytrema by Travassos,(1931) on the basis that the name had previously been used for protozoa and crustaceans. I cannot trace these taxa, and the Nomenclator Zoologicus only lists the a junior homonym (Dadayia Micoletzky 1922, a nematode genus). Hence, there seems no good reason for Travassos' action, and the Nomenclator Zoologicus lists Dadaytrema as a nom. nov. (in error). DIG [details]
