Remark Plesiosmilia is possibly a junior synonym of Axosmilia and Pleurosmilia. The type-specimen was not observed. Nevertheless, as it is probably silicified as other samples of Nattheim, I suspect that the septal ornamention described by Milaschewitsch 1876 was overinterpreted by Alloiteau 1957, p. 364. 11 nominal species were created for the Jurassic, 1 for the Cretaceous (Löser 2000) [details]
