Synonymy Kobelt (1897:74-75) lists the Turritella suturalis "Wood" as listed by Kiener, 1843, yet incorrectly attributes authorship to that author. Aphia here created as listed by Kobelt to reflect Kobelt's interpretation of the species as a member of Mesalia rather than Eglisia. [details]
