Original description Test elongate, subovate, compressed; periphery rounded; length three times width, more than five times thickness; quinqueloculine organization of chambers indicated externally, axis of structure almost 45" off longitudinal axis; wall smooth, porcelaneous, opaque, imperforate, polished; last formed chambers subcylindrical, arcuate, greater curve and diameter posteriorly, basal end broad, round, tapered below preceding chamber; suture between chambers depressed, margin showing slight indentation; anterior end narrower by one half, about flush, not oblique; opening semicircular, tooth short, heavy, bifid.

Size: .498 x .I66 x .091 mm.

Holotype (AHF 5291) Station At 521

This species is characterized by size, shape, and structural axis of chambers which does not coincide with mid-longitudinal axis of test. Reuss and Terquem described a series of fossil taxa with unique organization of chambers. They included Quinqueloculina angustissima Reuss, 1850, from Rumania and Q . arenosa Terquem, 1886. The former is more angular; the latter apparently is not a quinqueloculine form. [details]
