Classification The possession of flagellated sigmas suggests this species could be an undetected member of Haliclona (Flagellia). If so, then the presence of toxas would be a new feature of the subgenus. Further examinatiomn of the holotype is needed to establish whether the flagellated sigmas are proper. [details]
