Taxonomic remark Lowry and Stoddart (2011b) included this species in Tryphosella with doubts because the condition of the maxilla 1 was unknown. Pérez-Schultheiss (2016) confirmed that coxa 1 is not reduced as in Tryphosella and the maxilla 1 has a 7/4 crown pattern in the teeth of outer plate, a character typical of Uristidae, so the species is transferred to the genus Uristes.
