Taxonomy Dendy's Diego Garcia specimens of P.bacca var. corrugata are raised to full specific rank. These specimens as well as the John Murray Expedition specimens from Oman differ from the widespread Paratetilla bacca proper by the possession of numerous long trichodragmata, approx. 125 ?m long. Burton's (1959) records of Paratetilla bacca and Chrotella eurystoma from Oman and Thomas' (1973) record of P. bacca are referable to this species (see Van Soest & Beglinger, 2008). [details]
