Authority The Systema Porifera gives Schulze, 1904 as the author, but in the same year Ijima also claimed authorship of the genus. It is clear that the two authors both communicated over this name, but strict application of the rules (ICZN Art. 21.3) indicates Ijima as the rightful author of the name (thanks to F.
