Taxonomy Burton (1930c) considered Arnesen's (1903) record of Plumohalichondria plumosa as belonging to this species, and not to Plumohalichondria (=Phorbas) plumosus (Montagu, 1818). Confirmation of this synonymy is needed before we follow Burton's suggestion. [details]
