Homonymy This combination is a senior secondary homonym of Leuconia echinata Carter, 1886. Both Schuffner's and Carter's species have been reassigned to Leucandra, and at least one author (Dendy, 1913) considered them synonymous. Further research is necessary to determine the status of these specimens and if necessary whether a new name for Carter's species is to be erected. [details]
