Authority Burton (1963: 576) pointed out that this name was proposed by Dendy & Row (1913: 782) as authored by 'Row MS ?1913' without a description. The definitive description appeared in Row & Hozawa's 1931 paper, but these authors transferred the species to genus Leucilla. The Dendy & Row name is a nomen nudum and unavailable, but subsequent use of the species name by Row & Hozawa fixed the name with their authorship and date. [details]
