Homonymy Porphyria Röding, 1798: 32 (type species Voluta fasciata Röding, 1798:32) (gastropod molluscs) is a senior homonym of Porphyria Bergquist, 1995 (type species Porphyria flintae Bergquist, 1995: 38, by original designation). Despite being a junior synonym of Oliva Bruguière, 1789, the latter needed to be replaced (ICZN Art. 53.2). To remove the homonymy, Van Soest & Hooper (2020) proposed Patriciaplysina, named after Patricia Bergquist. [details]
