From editor or global species database
Status Carter (1887) described nine specimens apparently from the same locality consisting of seven similar specimens (the unnamed typical variety) and two that were distinguished as a variety ramotubulata, a tubular specimen, and a variety granulata similar to the typical variety but with darker color. None of these names were used by later authors. Since varieties are no longer recognized as taxa we assign them to the synonymy of the species. [details]
