Nomenclature The full description was published in a new experimental nomenclatural approach by Pleijel (1999), under the uninominal "Bidentata", intentionally not conforming to the ICZN code. Muona (2006) subsequently published this taxon under the binominal name Heteropodarke pleijeli, referring back to the detailed description of Pleijel and naming one of Pleijel's specimens as holotype.
