Taxonomy According to Pettibone (1993:35) "The species has been widely reported as Harmothoe lunulata (Delle Chiaje) by Mclntosh (1900), Fauvel (1923), and many others; and as Malmgrenia lunulata (Delle Chiaje) by Pettibone (1953) and others. As a northern species it has been reported from the eastern Atlantic and eastern Pacific, living commensally with a variety of hosts, including echinoderms, polychaetes, and balanoglossids. Far too many species have been lumped under M. lunulata." [details]
