[details] Editor's comment The description and drawings of Syllis fusicornis provided by Schmarda (1861: 71), together with the small size of the single studied specimen (6 mm long, 1.3 mm wide, 31 segments) suggest that the species is a juvenile Eunicida (Eunicidae or Onuphidae). The presence of only three prostomial appendages, the antennae, while the palps are still not developed, is characteristic of the younger stages of different genera of both families.
