Etymology The specific epithet articulata, Latin for 'articulated' or 'jointed', refers to a constriction present in the median and lateral antennae, giving them a biarticulated appearance. According to Hartmann-Schröder (1982) this constriction would be less marked in the tentacular and dorsal cirri. [details]
Habitat Fine sand with mud, algae, dead corals, at shallow water. [details]
Type locality Australia, Western Australia, Bunbury (= Bunburry), Leschenault Inlet, northern beach of the inlet (geocoordinates not provided, estimated with gazetteer to be approximately lat. -33.206º, long. 115.7º). [details]
