Etymology Not stated in the original description. The specific epithet dubia (masculine: dubius) is a Latin adjective meaning 'uncertain', and refers presumably to the doubts concerning the identity of the species, which "closely resembles A. mediopapillata (Moore, 1909 [...]) in the proportions of the body and the structure of parapodia and setae" (Fauchald, 1972: 45).
